The Barcode Scanner Module 9284 can be easily mounted onto the Philips Digital Pocket Memo models 9400i, 9350 and 9250 and allows doctors or lawyers to swiftly retrieve patient or client records by simply scanning the related barcode.

• How can I see the scanned information?

By doing a right mouse click on the "Header Bar" in the Configuration/Download Software a list of supported Keywords is shown. Look for the "Barcode" element and drag and drop it into the Header Bar area. Now you should be able to read the barcode information attached to the DSS file.

• What types of Barcodes can be scanned with the Philips 9284 Barcode Scanner ?

The scanner supports the following standards: EAN, UPC, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, 2 out of 5 family, Codabar, Code 11, MSI Code and Interleaved 2/5.

• What is the additional battery drain due to the Barcode Module?

The BC scanner module does not drain the batteries more than the normal recording mode. 10 hours of recording OR scanning are possible when running the DPMII on batteries.
